About Our Wax Melts
Also known as “tarts,” wax melts are scented blocks of wax without a wick.
Wax melts require a special device called a warmer (or melter), which can be electric or warmed by a tea light.
Simply break off 1-2 cubes of wax, place them on the warming plate, and let them melt. The number of cubes used should be consistent with the size of the room and the capacity of the wax melter.
The wax pool will continue to emit fragrance for a prolonged period.
Our melts come in packs of 6 cubes and the Net Weight of the wax is approximately 2.5 ounces per package.
- Wax Type: Handcrafted using a Custom Blend of Paraffin, Soy, and Beeswax, our wax melts are designed to slow-melt and fill your home with a strong throw of long-lasting fragrance.
- Fragrances: Our fragrances are 100% phthalate-free, crafted from a blend of essential and synthetic oils to ensure safety and consistent performance in final products. Unlike pure essential oils, which can sometimes experience fragrance shifts, especially when used in candles, our formulation maintains a stable scent throughout its use.
- Coloring: Our liquid candle dyes are phthalate-free and proudly made in the USA! Exceeding Prop 65 standards, these dyes exclude a wide range of harmful ingredients, including carcinogens, mutagens, reproductive toxins, organ toxins, and acute toxins. Plus, they’re vegan-friendly.
To ensure the longevity and potency of your wax melts, store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ideal storage locations include a dark cupboard or a dedicated storage container.
Keeping the melts at temperatures below 82°F prevents the fragrance from fading and maintains the integrity of the wax.
Avoid refrigerating wax melts, as moisture can negatively affect their quality. Proper storage will help preserve their scent and effectiveness for a longer period.
The primary difference between a wax melt and a candle is that no flame is needed. This is ideal for people living in buildings that prohibit open flames (such as college dorm rooms) or those concerned about fire safety at home. Wax melts are also a great option for people with pets or small children, as they can leave the room without worrying about an open flame. Wax melts are both affordable and long-lasting, keeping your home smelling wonderful for hours. Most wax warmers have a large surface area and can be left on all day, allowing the fragrance to fill the entire room.
Wax cube scents typically last between 6 to 12 hours of active use, depending on various factors such as the wattage of the wax melter, fragrance strength, and the environment.
For example, a single cube typically produces a strong fragrance for about 6-8 hours of warming time before needing replacement. Using two wax cubes together can extend the scent duration to approximately 8-12 hours.
It’s important to note that the longevity of the scent can vary based on the specific fragrance notes, temperature of the room, size of the room, air flow in the room, and how frequently the wax is warmed.
When your wax cube no longer has any scent left, you can dispose of it responsibly using several methods:
- Reusable Wax Melt Liner: Use a reusable wax melt liner, like these from my shop, in your warmer. When the wax loses its scent, simply remove the liner, let the wax solidify, and then pop it out. This method is both eco-friendly and convenient.
- Absorption Method: If the wax is still liquid, you can use cotton balls or paper towels to absorb the melted wax. Dispose of the soaked cotton balls or paper towels in the trash.
- Solid Wax Method: If the wax has solidified, you can gently pop it out of the warmer by applying slight pressure. Dispose of the solid wax in the trash.
- Reuse and Recycling: Some people choose to repurpose the leftover wax for making fire starters or using it in other crafts. This is a great way to reduce waste and make use of the remaining wax.
Make sure not to pour melted wax down the drain, as it can cause blockages.
